I love quotes from famous photographers...
What is your favorite photography quote?

Thanks for sharing the quote...that's a really good one.

"Life is short; this is why I make pictures." ~Carlos Dominique

"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have captured on film is captured forever...it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything." ~Aaron Sussman

i love that quote too!

one of my favorite quotes is this one by ansel adams: a great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.

Oooo love it! Ha I don't really have a favorite photography quote. I do have lots of other favorite quotes in other categories though!

I love this quote. It perfectly captures how I love to photograph, by walking and discovering my surroundings and then attempting to capture.

That is a very nice quote... One of my favorites isn't necessarily a photography quote but fits your question:
"Work is love made visible" by Kalil Gibran

oh, this is a great one! i've not heard it before. thanks for sharing. i just may have to add this to my side column, as i put all of my favorite photographer quotes interspersed throughout that area.

here is one of my favorites... thus it is at the top of my blog:

"to me, photography is an art of observation. it's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... i've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."
~ elliott erwitt

i also really like this one:

"time stands still best
in moments that look suspiciously like ordinary life."
~ photographer, brian andreas

Love the quotes :) One of my favs is:
"You don't take a photograph.... you ask quietly to borrow it"

Unsure of the author, believe it is unknown. But it is very true. :)
