Outlet Update

Today I am wondering what I've gotten myself into. I started organizing our spare room, the room I've kept a lot of supplies for years and years. Brand new boxes of paper, test prints, prints I meant to mat for the last art show but ran out of time. It's all there. Or now here, in my office, with no place to go. (The goal is for the spare room to be a room someone could actually sleep in without being smoother by photographs, cameras and film. Imagine that!)
This week I plan to take a week off from being behind the camera and focus on new orders and organizing my space. The good news is, I'll be updating the "Friday Outlet" each day, not just Friday.
My favorite new items I added so far are:
Hahnemuhle Special Offer I love printing on this paper!
The Poppy Prints
Incomplete
Enjoy! xoxo- A.

Sable and Pearl

A couple weeks ago I did a guest post for Bliss. Which led Mrs. French to post her own fabulous black and white inspirations at Sfgirlbybay. Which made me think even more how much I miss seeing my photographs in black and white. And, so I headed back to the place where I immediately thought this classic style would show off the quiet beauty.... yes, Paris again! I challenged myself to work with photos I'd never seen before. Luckily, there are so many I have yet to explore.
And, with that a new collection: Sable and Pearl was born. Many of the photos I chose were taken in the quite moments of early morning, when I was walking alone, and would stop and take a deep breath of thanks.
In addition to the prints on my website, I'm offering a special print set here.

A Drive Through The Fog

You know I am not a morning person. But there are a few days each year when I am glad I have to be. There are more here. This one is my favorite.

When I sent out my Autumn newsletter, several of you asked about the spider web photograph. So, I am happy to report that all of the webs have found a home here.

In other (web)site news... I've been testing my new gift registry and it's working out great. I'm now accepting more couples/events on a limited basis. Feel free to contact me if you'd like your own gallery created or if you want more details. I only ask that your event be in the next 2-3 months. (Galleries unfortunately can't be made private... but you can put in a fake name if you'd like.)
Hope your week is off to a good start! xoxo- A.

I've been very good about doing a lot of things this week... blogging is not one of them. I promise to make it up to you next week.

In the mean time, you really should visit the amazing photographers above. All found on Flickr. All making me feel, happy, warm, sentimental, cozy.... inspired.

Have a fabulous weekend! xoxo- A.

An Apple Haiku

The sun warmed his face.
Apples glowed in the sweet light.
Juicy, red, tart,
love.

Happy Monday! On my mind today:
1. I'm so honored that Mrs. French invited me to Bliss!
2. I adore today's "Favorite Things" (Though I'm starting to get really sad that next week is our last week.)
3. Obsessing over these, even though the pair I am wearing from last year is incredibly similar.
4. Apple crisp makes a mighty fine breakfast. (The oatmeal on top makes it heart healthy?)
5. The search for the perfect French Onion Soup recipe. This soup is too sweet for me, and I am done making it. (Though better the second day.) I'll be trying this one soon.
6.I still love you, Alton Brown.
7. People who look out for me are the best! Thank you Tracy for noticing my surf photos on "Gary Unmarried." I may have never know. See them there on the back wall?
8. Sunday night with "Away We Go"= perfect at home date night.

Hope your week is off to a good start too!

Calendars, Sales, Etc., Etc.

Happy Friday! It has been a long but productive week here, and I am so excited for the weekend. I know, no plans for 2 weekends in a row. I can hardly believe my luck! I have "Away We Go" coming from Netflix, (please be good... the preview looked so nice.) And a bushel of apples from last weekends trip to the orchard to cook up. (We love our homemade applesauce.). I am so looking forward to sleeping in and making the house a cozy autumn home.

The highlight of this week was seeing my calendars in print. They are my little labors of love, and are finally up on my website and in the shop. I really love how they turned out. They are on pearly, iridescent card stock much like the postcards, so they have a great glow. There are two this year. Paris definitely needed its own. And, the Polaroid version from 2009 was refreshed with my favorite Polaroids from the last few months.

Oh, one last thing. I am also having a sale in my Etsy shop. All of my 8" prints (8"x10", 8"x8" or 8"x12") are 20% off. Just for the weekend... There are no special codes to enter. Just checkout regularly and I'll refund the 20% through Paypal. Easy!

Stay tuned for Monday, I'll be blogging somewhere new...

Keep warm, and enjoy your days.
xoxo- A.
