Mini-Matted

So, far I have only sold my mini-matted prints at art festivals... But today I am letting you all have a chance to get some of this cuteness too. The thick, museum style matting really highlights the 5"x5" and 5"x7" photographs. I think they would make great gifts too, which is why I've added them to the new "It's Good To Give" section of my website.

All you need to do is send me a note when you order with the title you'd like (feel free to use the Email link at the bottom of each page.) I plan to add a couple more small, wintery items to this section throughout the next few weeks so keep watching!

p.s. I apologize for the dark/shadowy photos. It is like a little, cold cave here today, way too much gray. I am not so patiently awaiting the arrival of the mail. Hopefully, there is a fancy new flash there for me. It sure would have come in handy this morning...

Because I have been getting so many requests I am working on rescanning all of my polaroids so they can be made into larger prints. (up to 10"x10"). I have managed to get just a handful done and updated on my website. It is a bigger job than I thought, because I keep finding new photographs I like. It has always been like this for me. A fresh eye, a few months later usually produces some of my favorites. I think these two may go up in my kitchen. I have a rotating display... though it seems like it is always the beach scenes that win. I just have to search through the polaroids again to find a third for the grouping. Or, if that fails I'll happily head back to the lake for more. It's supposed to get above 50 degrees this later week. Sounds like beach weather to me.

Thank you for all your get well wishes. For the most part we are back to ourselves again. (Except for one lazy little boy who is spending the day in his p.j.'s.)

deja vu

How are you all? I have missed being here this week. We've have all been busy and not feeling so great. I think the constantly cool air and early mornings have taken its toll on us. So the only thing I hope to do this weekend is get lots of rest.
I do have a little fun planned for next week, so I hope you will stop back soon.

I could have easily spent yesterday on the couch watching old movies, but then I would have missed all this. I am so thankful for friends who share their secret places with us.

the last ride

I remember our 1st meeting on a lazy Saturday. It was love at first sight. The big seat, and the tin-y, metallic sound of the wheels spinning won me over instantly.
And, now suddenly it seems our summer romance is coming to an end. Neither of us are fond of the cold...

It seems as if I am unable to drive past the orchard without stopping for a picture. I think these are the last for awhile. The trees are almost bare of fruit.

thoughts of autumn

Sorry i don't have much new for you today, just our silly self portrait.
It has been a catching up kind of week.
And now this lovely boy is taking me away from this computer, where I have sat for too many days. We are off to the land of first dates, and fall. I am so excited with the thought of how gorgeous the leaves must be there, and how it feels to sweep them all aside with your feet as you walk down the sidewalk.

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start. I feel like the week is flying by already. I have so many projects to get done before Friday and many new ideas bouncing around in my head that may have to wait until next week. I added this new photograph to my etsy shop this morning. My blue jars always make the best vases for fresh flowers. I never realized how many were out there. I could be in trouble...

polka dots and gumballs

It was just us girls around here this morning, and we sure weren't going to sit in the house waiting around for the boys. It is Friday after all and we were looking for a little fun.
N.J. wanted muffins. I wanted to test out some new locations for photo shoots. We both got our way. She wasn't sure about the laundry mat scene (until she discovered the gumball machine and video games.) And, so our lesson for today: Don't judge a book by it's cover, if you're lucky you just might find gum inside.
