the left handed breakfast

I have hesitated to post any photos of my boy this week, because seeing him in his little cast breaks my heart. Two broken bones for him. Since I use this blog to chronicle my life and work, I had to put up a photo so next month when he is healed, I can look back and say how thankful I am that this is all behind us. He is handling it all remarkably well. We will be spending the weekend picnicing on the living room floor, and watching Dora the Explorer, over and over again.

I hope he has a quick recovery. Have fun watching Dora! My daughter loves Dora, and of course, The Backyardigans.

Just found your blog after looking on etsy for amazing photographers..I am in LOVE with your photographs and plan on showing my husband this evening so we can begin our collection :)
I notice from your blog that you have young children and I would love to know the ways that you encourage art and creativity in your home...I am looking for ways to inspire my little 2 year-old.
Thanks, Kristy

Oh, poor little guy! Wha'happened??! Well, if he's anything like my son, he's somewhat relishing the idea that he is "different" and is finding some enjoyment in his discomfort. Still, how can you not feel bad!? Smooch!

p.s. or would he rather have a drawing of a robot or truck? ;)
